about

In memory of my grandmother Lillie, who passed away March 9, 2020 at the age of 98. She lived on this farm most of her life.

This raw recording was made by placing a small clip mic to a barbed wire fence on the edge of her property; using a portable tape cassette machine.

Recorded September 5, 1996, 10:20 pm. 13 miles from
Grant, Nebraska, USA.

Photo taken at the location the recording was made.

Originally released as a first edition of 10 3" cdr (2003)

The "Archive Series", [AS] shares my sound experiments and field recordings made in the past (between 1990 and the present) andl (mostly) previously un-heard, except for a handful of copies given out on cassette tape or cdr.
