about

Entropy was recorded in an apartment in Seattle in 1994, and never released, other than a handful of cassette tapes that were given to friends and acquaintances.

It was recorded to four track audio cassette tape, then archived to 1/4" reel-to-reel tape on a Teac X-3R recorder.

All sound sources were recorded and manipulated by myself, including field recordings made using a Tascam Porta-04 cassette recorder and crystal microphones, an old Sony reel-to-reel tape recorder, voice, saxopohone, and effects processing (ART mulit-effects rack).

"Entropy Blind", the fifth track, was mixed and sent to a John Allen (Algae), sometime in 1995, whom in 2014 sent a 'mastered' file back to me. It is composed of the recordings from Entropy and others from that time, and, I cannot recall specifically how or when it was made.

This is the first public release of this 'lost' experimental album, hidden away in my archives, until now.
